9:50am: Top of the bookcase- pictures waiting to be hung on freshly painted walls and a globe (my favorite find from Farm Chicks this year)
10:24am: The dining room all set up for Elliot's 3rd birthday party. His birthday was actually last month, but this weekend was the first chance we had really had to celebrate with friends. We knew we wanted to have a construction theme with lots of blue + orange (Elliot's favorite colors), so I was really happy when I came across two inspiring birthday party ideas online: Family Fun magazine's construction party and Rachel Denbow's recent construction party for her son- both fit perfectly with the ideas I already had!
11:16am: I asked Erik to put together a few cardboard boxes to make a house for the kids to paint at the party, and this my friends is what he came up with! Isn't it and he so amazing!?
11:26am: Paint for painting the house
2:17pm: Elliot's favorite gift of the day. He is super into basketball right now and it is just about the cutest thing ever.
3:26pm: A +E playing in the backyard. We all love our new backyard so much!
4:44pm: Heading to the gym. I ended up having to take a really long running break while we went through closing on our new house, packing, and getting settled in our new home. Finally this last week I feel like I am getting back into a regular routine again with exercise and it feels really good.
6:18pm: Audrey's bed. Love that her copy of Charlotte's Web is there (we're reading it together right now) and the worn knit blanket that was on my bed when I was a little girl.
6:35pm: Dinner of leftover tacos.
8:13pm: The house all painted from the birthday party. It was a total hit! And now my kids are having a blast playing in it.
