I have been busy busy busy this week. Getting ready for a weekend trip away to visit with some dear friends of mine, dealing with some sick little ones, and all of the normal stuff that makes up our days.
One more little thing has been keeping me very occupied. I have been praying a lot the past six months about pursuing my photography more this year After a little push from some encouraging friends, I have decided to launch... (please click on the photo to go directly to the website):
It is all still in the very beginning stages and I am still so very, very nervous. This is a huge step of faith for me. But I am also really, really excited to see what God has in store.
Here is what I shared on my website about myself + my love for photography + capturing memories:
My name is Andi. I am a stay home mama to my two little ones, Audrey + Elliot, and wife to my amazing husband Erik. My days are filled with wiping noses, kisses + hugs, lots of stories, creating, laughter, and in the midst of it all, finding ways to capture all of our precious moments together so that I will not ever forget them. Because that is my fear. That I won't remember these days. Not just the special occasions, but the ordinary, magical days that I spend with those I love.
Most often the way I capture our memories is through photography. Occasionally that means the posed, once or twice a year family shots. More likely though, it means the polka-dot rain boots, the pigtails, the messy art projects, and the blurred face of my two year old running by. I love simple shots like these. Shots that are a snapshot of what our life really looks like. Because forty years from now, these are the things I want to remember. The way our living room looked decorated at Christmas, the banana cream pie I tried to make my husband for his 30th birthday, our kitchen sink piled high with dirty dishes. This is our life. And I don't want to forget a second of it.
If you are looking for a way to capture a snapshot of your both your ordinary + extraordinary days, I would love to help you tell your stories!
