At the end of this last summer, my little family and I packed our bags and headed out on a spontanous roadtrip. We love roadtrips, but we are not typically spontanous! So our decision to drive to southern California the day before we left was definitely out of character for us.
One of the highlights of our trip was visiting my dear friend Leslie + her family. Leslie is one of the best things ever to come out of blogging for me. We met through our blogs over four and a half years ago and instantly clicked. Many many phone calls and emails later, we met in person, and have since hung out a couple of times. But this was the first time our families had ever met, and oh, words can't describe how amazing it was. To see our little ones play together, to see our husbands talk over the dinner table...it was a dream come true!
During our visit, Leslie asked me to take some family pictures for her, which was a total honor because she is a seriously amazing photographer herself! To be perfectly honest, I was more than just a little bit nervous! But it truly ended up being one of the funnest shoots I have ever done- her family is so beautiful and Leslie + her husband Nick had so many great ideas for our time together. It was really hard for me to pick my favorite shots from this shoot, so this is going to be one long post...
I love you and miss you so, dear P family!
xo
P.S. Check back on Monday for a few more favorites from this session- all the lovely ones of just Nick + Leslie together...
simply wonderful!
